Beaver Dam High School put together its first Academic Olympics Competition team this year.  The first was held at Pahranagat Valley High School in Alamo.  Our kids were amazingly competitive for our first time against schools that have been doing this for quite a while.  The Academic Olympics consist of random questions in Science, Math, History, Government, Literature and Geography being given to the teams.  Each team has 20 seconds to come up with answers and correct answers translate into points.  The team is coach is Greg Johnston and the kids all give up their lunch period to prepare for competition.

The team consists of:

• Seniors: Oli Vega and Karen Yanez
• Juniors:  Isabella Gonzales, Destiny Delaney, Nicole Delany
• Sophomores: Leticia Beltran, Cesar Ruiz, Jose Avila, Lexii Frickberg, Kynnedie Ellingford, Tanner Reber
