In 1995, Rena and her husband (Tony) retired to Beaver Dam from Salt Lake City to escape the cold, snow and smog. One of her best friends urged her to get involved with the community and the school. Her friend worked for the school and was always saying “Rena, the kids need and you can help.” Don’t we all need friends like that? As a result Rena was active in helping to start Sub for Santa and with a number of other community folks brought primary health care which included dental care to the area.
Rena has been honored to have been a Governing Board Member for 12 years. She feels community involvement at the schools whether as a volunteer, substitute, or governing board member is a great way to give back to our country and community. She feels this service makes a difference in helping students have the best opportunities for success and happiness in life.
Rena has a Bachelor of Science degree from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked for IBEW Local 57 and Utah Power & Light in Salt Lake City. She and Tony have three children and six grandchildren
Remember… The kids need and you can help!
